The direct combination of one shaft cutter and extruder makes it possible to use the frictional heat from the pre-cutting in the extrusions process.
The warm feeding of material, which is fed into the extrusion screw also has the advantage, that the intake zone of the extruder can be shorter than on conventional systems, resulting in higher material quality (MFI).
